Bob Cord
Owner & General Manager
Bob Cord began his career in engineering and management after graduating from Georgia Tech in 1975. While working for Factory Mutual Engineering, Owens Corning, and BASF over the next 32 years, he developed experience in design, production management, process control, technical management, marketing, customer support, and R&D. Wanting to develop a local business from the ground up, he left the corporate world to partner with Daniel Jachens, his son-in-law, to start Daniel Builders LLC.

Daniel Jachens
Owner
Daniel Jachens began developing his construction skills at age fourteen. He worked for a licensed builder for three years through an apprenticeship program. He continued working with the same builder, including primary maintenance responsibilities for a Christian school and camp, thus gaining a broad range of construction experience. Daniel started Dan’s Handyman Service in 2001 and acquired his residential builder’s license in 2007. Being in business for over 20 years, Daniel has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of construction.

Andy DeLeonardis
Guide|Design Director
Early in life, Andy learned a lot about construction from his father simply by working on projects around the house. He eventually went to work for a local flooring company and developed a knowledge of flooring strong enough to start and co-own a flooring business. Andy has over 15 years of experience in flooring installation, specializing in hardwood and tile flooring, custom tile showers, and tile backsplashes. Andy thrives on helping his team reach their full potential. Outside of work, Andy enjoys spending time with family, working on home projects, and playing disc golf and basketball.

David Bass
Chief Operating Officer
David has over two decades of construction experience. He joined Daniel Builders in June 2008. He has served the company in various capacities throughout the years as Build Team member, Build Director, and now as Chief Operating Officer. Professionally, he is passionate about quality craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and mentoring. Outside of work, he dedicates his time to his family, church, and community.

Anita Rhoads
Chief Financial Officer
Anita has lived in Anderson, South Carolina for over 20 years. She started at Daniel Builders in April 2016 and came with a strong background in financial management, primarily in the construction industry. Her experience includes developing management processes for several start-up businesses, as well as managing financial responsibilities for an outpatient center.

Rob Cord
Direct Projects Director
Rob's career in construction began shortly after graduating Anderson University in 2006. He trained as a carpenter under Daniel Jachens at Dan’s Handyman Service and stayed with the business as it developed into Daniel Builders. He and his family moved to Saint Louis in 2013. There he worked part time as a carpenter for a small remodeling company, while earning a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Seminary. He returned to Anderson in 2017 to continue utilizing his carpentry skills. Rob started the Direct Projects division in 2020.

Sean Harvey
Build Director
Sean manages our Build Team of Project Managers, Carpenters, and Carpenter Assistants to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently. He started gaining construction experience in his dad's family business at the age of thirteen. Born and raised in a small New Jersey town, he worked doing preservation, restoration, and remodeling on many historic homes until he graduated from high school. Sean went on to earn a B.A. from Rutgers University in English where he worked briefly in marketing. After a brief stint in the corporate world, Sean returned to carpentry, and soon joined Daniel Builders. Sean has over twenty years of construction experience both in the field and in construction management. Sean is married to Jess and has two daughters, Sarah and Savannah, who bring tremendous joy to his life. Sean also enjoys reading books, writing, and ministry work.

Will Cord
Chief Marketing Officer
Will's role is a hybrid of marketing, personnel recruitment, community engagement, and charitable projects coordination. Will has been with Daniel Builders for over a decade. Prior to that he was a patient advocate, assisting ER patients and their families. Will has a strong passion for the values and culture of Daniel Builders.

Patrick Rawlins
Project Guide
Patrick's primary responsibility is helping new clients start the Design-Build renovation process. Patrick was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson in 2014. His hobbies include outdoor activities, such as hunting and boating. Patrick’s interest in remodeling goes back to the summers he spent working in construction during his younger years. After graduating from Clemson, Patrick worked in insurance for three years. General contractors and trades were some of his biggest clients. He kept his construction skills sharp through helping his father with various projects. Patrick is fulfilling his long-time dream of renovating homes.

John Power
Project Guide
John came to Daniel Builders with a background in Christian ministry. Raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he and his wife of over 18 years lived in six different states before calling Greenville, South Carolina home. John’s six children keep him constantly on the move whether it’s to a playground or a track meet. He still finds time for reading, making music, and playing an occasional pickup basketball game. With an ability to connect with all kinds of people, John is an initial point of contact for new clients starting the Design-Build process on their residential renovation.

Manny Figueroa
Project Guide
Manny grew up in the Northeast and came to Greenville for college. After graduating, he married his college sweetheart, and they decided to make Greenville, South Carolina their home. Manny started woodworking early in his marriage (over 20 years ago) when decided to make his wife a spice rack for Christmas. Woodworking quickly became his passion, and he started making all sorts of toys and furniture. As his family grew, they moved a few times and chose fixer-uppers to remodel. In 2020, he decided to pursue his passion for carpentry full-time. Manny was drawn to Daniel Builders because of the level of craftsmanship they provide.

Vicki Jordan
Design Administrator
Though her background is in education and customer service, Vicki has held a keen interest in residential renovations for a long time. She thrives on organizing renovation ideas, whether perusing Pinterest or assisting the Design Team. In her role she formulates selection schedules, creates agreements, and provides valuable administrative support. Vicki is committed to the values of Daniel Builders and a true team player. Her work ethic and attitude contribute greatly to the positive renovation experience enjoyed by clients. Outside of work, Vicki enjoys relaxing on her back porch and spending time at Hilton Head Island. She and her husband love spending time with their grandson!

Billy Zion
Design Architect
Billy is part of our Design team at Daniel Builders. He is a licensed architect and a resident of Anderson, South Carolina. He is a 2000 graduate of the Citadel and a 2004 graduate of Clemson University’s School of Architecture. He has been practicing architecture for over 15 years and has experience with almost every type of project - from small-scale residential renovations to large-scale commercial developments. Billy has always loved to draw, and he sees architecture as a true artistic expression. He also loves staying active with his four sons. Hiking, camping, swimming, biking, and running are some of his favorite activities. He and his wife, Caroline, are very active in their church community. Billy uses his craft to serve others and is excited to be a part of the residential growth in our region.

Jacob VanDonkelaar
Design Project Manager
Jacob ensures projects have a detailed scope, accurate material pricing, clear plans, and all selections so he can provide clients with a Fixed Price Quote. He became familiar with construction and tools early in his life. He remembers playing in red clay on construction sites and installing cabinetry hardware as a child. He started to get serious about carpentry while working with his dad in a cabinet shop. Jacob came to work for Daniel Builders at age fifteen. Since joining the Daniel Builders team, he has developed many more carpentry skills. He truly has a “can do” attitude and frequently demonstrates an ability to problem solve. In his free time Jacob enjoys Clemson football.

Darren Ehnis
Design Project Manager
As far back as age twelve, Darren has been associated with building and construction. He learned all facets of cabinetry, from fabrication to assembly to finishing and installation, while working in the family cabinet business. After earning a business management degree in 2000, Darren made Greenville, South Carolina his home. He continued refining his carpentry skill for several years while employed at a small, Greenville-based remodeling company. Prior to joining Daniel Builders, he was an account manager for a national flooring retailer. Darren was formerly a Build Project Manager before starting his role with the Design Team. Now, as a Design Project Manager, he brings valuable field experience to creating a Fixed Price Quote, Detailed Scope, and Comprehensive Agreement to Build for our clients.

Brandon Hurtado
Design Project Manager
Brandon started working construction at age fourteen. He learned construction skills while helping a family friend rebuild his home after it burned down in a fire. He continued developing his skill in carpentry throughout his younger years until it became his career. Brandon and his wife, Hannah, moved to South Carolina from Washington State in December of 2020. They moved to Greenville with their cat in October 2021, and Brandon joined Daniel Builders that same month. When he’s not working, Brandon enjoys woodworking and exploring with his wife.

Drew Bullock
Design Draftsman
As a child, Drew enjoyed drawing floorplans of his room, house, and classroom and building houses with Legos and blocks. He learned some construction skills from his father who likes to work on projects around the house. In high school, he enjoyed playing with realistic 3D software and games that build houses. He graduated from Bob Jones University in 2020 with a degree in Interior Architecture and Design. For two summers in college, Drew worked for a custom framing construction company. The summer of 2020, Drew started an internship with Daniel Builders drawing floorplans and 3D Models. He was hired at the completion of that internship. Drew enjoys spending time with his family and 4 dogs, working on projects around the house, and playing Disc Golf.

Charis VanDonkelaar
Direct Projects Process Manager
Charis joined Daniel Builders in April of 2022. She and her siblings grew up playing in her dad's cabinet shop and helping with projects around their home. Charis possesses strong organizational skills and brings a high level of mental discipline to her current role. She developed these traits as an event coordinator and after years of performing as a professional ballet dancer. Outside of her role at Daniel Builders (and her other job teaching ballet), you will likely find Charis tending her large flower gardens, hiking to a waterfall, hanging out with her family, or playing with her baby nephew.

Chris Owens
Build Project Manager
Chris has an impressive background with over 24 years of experience in multiple facets of construction. His areas of his expertise include framing, roofing, electrical, trim, sheetrock, siding, wood flooring, tile, and painting. Chris was Construction Supervisor at Calvary Children’s Home for six years. He and his wife Laurie later served as house parents for five years in the Anderson, South Carolina based orphanage that provides a safe living environment for abused or neglected children.

Andrew Horne
Build Project Manager
Andrew’s introduction to trade work began at the age of thirteen. He established a strong foundation to acquire a wide variety of skills, on both the residential and commercial level. Andrew credits some amazing mentors who coached him in skill competencies, work ethic, integrity, an eye for detail, and an awareness of excellence. In 2009, Andrew made a career change and moved to Greenville, where he began to work in the trades full time. He started and operated his own renovation and home repair business from 2010 to 2017, where he further honed his skills in construction. Realizing the challenges of the industry, Andrew left self-employment to work on a team. He is glad to have landed at Daniel Builders where he started as a Lead Carpenter. Andrew and his wife Stephanie co-own and manage NoteAbility, a community music school in Greer. They reside in Taylors, South Carolina with their two Labrador retrievers.

Clay Merrit
Build Project Manager
Clay demonstrated a mechanical aptitude as a child while working with his father on home and auto repairs. Through high school he studied electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics at B.J Skelton career center. After high school, Clay went on to study architecture and construction engineering at Greenville Technical College while continuing to work jobs in construction. When college was complete, he went to work with a machinist, electrical contractor, and custom builder where his knowledge of the construction industry began to develop rapidly. Clay ran his own remodeling business for nine years. During this time, he further honed an extensive skill set and enhanced his aptitude for quality finishes, kitchen and bath remodels, and tile shower systems. Clay is a lead carpenter at Daniel Builders with an ability to provide excellent craftsmanship, knowledge of all building systems, and proactive problem solving.

Hunter Levengood
Project Manager
Hunter was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. He grew up playing hockey, hunting, and fishing. He started in the trades as a 16 year old and began developing a diverse background of work experience. Hunter left Alaska at age 19 to attend college at Portland State University. His love for remodeling has grown over the years, and now he shares that passion with others in his role as a project manager.

Sam Parkinson
Project Manager & Safety Manager
Sam worked with his father on rental properties as a child. For as long as he can remember, Sam built things with his hands. After he graduated from Anderson University, he began a woodworking business and soon transitioned into a full-time carpentry position. His passion for craftsmanship and creating beautiful environments continues to grow. He has an eye for intricate details and is quick to help others develop their carpentry skills. Sam resides with his wife and son in Anderson, South Carolina.

Dexter Williams
Project Manager, Direct Projects Division
Dexter has over 39 years of project management experience in residential and commercial construction. Commercially, he’s managed projects ranging from shopping centers to medical centers to industrial facilities. Prior to his extensive work experience, Dexter studied Building Construction Technology and Architectural Engineering. Dexter resides in Anderson, South Carolina, where he has an instrumental role at Calvary Home for children, a local orphanage.

Toby Greenleaf
Lead Carpenter
Toby was born and raised just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Toby began his career as a carpenter in the early nineties in Greenville, South Carolina. He started with Rhodes Brothers Builders and received valuable mentoring from the craftsmen there. During the mid to late nineties, Toby and his wife Carmel moved back to Boston to start their family. He worked on many historic restoration projects while in Boston including St. George Cathedral, The Old North Church, Quincy First Baptist Church, Milton Academy, as well as many other historic properties. He and his family eventually moved back to the Greenville area where he operated his residential remodeling business. Toby is a skilled craftsman with a willingness to mentor others.

Lee Huneycutt
Carpenter
Lee joined the Daniel Builders family in November of 2020. Lee is from the small town of Lamar, South Carolina and now lives in Anderson with his wife, Katelyn. He began carpentry/construction at the age of sixteen and gained experience in both residential and commercial work. Along with being a fourth-generation carpenter, he also enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking in his free time.

Garren Alexander
Carpenter
Garren is an Anderson, South Carolina native who discovered his gift for carpentry during his teen years. He took a proactive approach to sharpening his carpentry skill by taking classes at a career center while in high school. At the age of seventeen, Garren started building cabinets full time for Frazer Quality Woodworks in Pickens, South Carolina. Since then, carpentry has been the source of Garren’s livelihood.

Sam Tome
Carpenter
Sam was born and raised in Kenya where he grew up playing soccer. In 2011, Sam was the captain of his college soccer team, a team that went on to win a soccer National Championship. In 2018, he met his wife in Nairobi at a church function. In 2019, they came to Anderson, South Carolina to get married. Since being in America, Sam has gained industry experience working with another contractor as an electrician. He joined Daniel Builders in 2021 and has been a very reliable team player. Sam plans to move back to Kenya one day for ministry purposes.

Joey Sanchez
Carpenter
Joey was born near Boston, Massachusetts and moved to South Carolina with his mother and brother at a very young age. Joey realized he loved construction early in life, especially the woodworking and craftsmanship aspects of the trade. Joey currently lives in Easley, South Carolina with his wife and son. He’s in the process of earning a Construction Engineering degree at Greenville Tech. Joey aspires to own a woodworking or residential construction business one day.

Andrew Cunningham
Carpenter
Andrew is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. Andrew first became interested in carpentry after working a summer job in high school. He joined Daniel Builders in February 2019. He has proven himself to be hardworking and dependable. Andrew enjoys hiking and playing ultimate frisbee in his free time.

Will Wilkinson
Carpenter
Will credits a truck shop job for helping him learn about skilled labor. He transitioned to his current role at Daniel Builders in August of 2019. In addition to his rapidly developing carpentry skill set, Will also enjoys running, music, and weekends on the lake. Will eagerly seeks out ways to make every job site a better place.

Dylan James
Carpenter
Dylan joined the Daniel Builders team in June 2021. Dylan realized he had an aptitude for residential construction at age eighteen. Dylan lives in Easley, South Carolina and loves the outdoors.

Tyler Estep
Carpenter
Tyler is a South Carolina native who began his career in construction at age 18. He studied Building Construction Technologies in college. He and his wife live on a farm with their yellow lab Fenway.
